General Navigation

Note: The Freeway 1200 is no longer in production. New installations should use a Freeway 3115, a Freeway 3215, or a Freeway 3415 instead.

Ideal for mid-range applications and branch offices, the Freeway 1200 supports up to 80 serial ports of legacy protocols. Ten PCI slots on the passive backplane accommodate the Intelligent Communications Processor boards which manage the serial ports. LAN connections are via 10/100 Ethernet. Dual Ethernet is also available. A flash disk or optional hard disk can be used for local storage of boot parameters and custom network applications that run on the Freeway.

  1. Intelligent Communications Processor boards (ICPs) manage the legacy protocols and contain serial ports that connect to the WAN. The Freeway 1200 uses ICP2432 boards.

  2. The maximum number of ports depends on the electrical interface. The larger number is the maximum ports when using the EIA-232 electrical interface. The smaller number is the maximum ports for all other electrical interfaces.

  3. Optional

  4. Excluding ICPs
